Brief Introduction
Entry Level and Semi-skilled (Entry Level and Semi-skilled): This is one of the traditional B.C. Provincial Nominee programs that uses a scoring system. After obtaining a B.C. Provincial Nominee through this program, you can apply for permanent resident status (i.e. Canadian Green Card) directly to the Canadian Federal Immigration Service.
Once the primary applicant’s school visa is approved, the spouse can apply for an open work permit without conditions. With an open work permit, the spouse can work in entry-level and semi-skilled trades positions: e.g., tourism, long-haul truck driver, food processing. You can apply for a provincial nomination after nine months of work to reach the score!
